MAKEUP ORGANIZERS

Makeup can get lost or messy when left unorganized in the home. Makeup organizers can be expensive to buy, but a homemade makeup organizer is an effective way to keep cosmetics in order. This keeps the quality of makeup brushes, blushes and eye shadows intact, as these are more likely to be damaged if in disarray.

•Find a box
•Cut a row of three circles or more in the lid to hold makeup brushes, eye pencils, mascara and lip liners.
•Cut slits in the lid to hold any combs or hair brushes
•Cut four square sections in the lid with scissors or razor to hold eye shadows, lipsticks, foundation and blush.
•Cut a piece of cardboard so that it creates a dividing wall, enclosing each of the four squares in the box.
•Place your makeup to use your organizer.

Keeping makeup organized
•Purge unwanted or expired makeup.
•Sort the remaining makeup. Organize by type, separating brushes, foundations, blushes, lipsticks and eyeshadows into groups.
•Organize makeup brushes.
•Create a pencil holder. Place all eye, lip and brow pencils in the container.
• Outfit a tackle box. Organize smaller items such as single blushes, tweezers and facial highlighters in the upper compartments.
•Store full makeup palettes in mini CD towers.
•Place longer or plentiful items in a silverware tray or small basket. Arrange makeup removers or sunblocks neatly in a small basket.
